Apparently my top "20" ways to wreck a turkey cake just weren't enough for you guys. I know this because some of you are:

a) complaining that the past two days' Wrecks don't technically add up to 20, and

fork) still sending in a truly dizzying array of Wreckage that simply must be shared.

These include gems like...

the Clown Turkey.
[insert joke about a funny taste here]

The Electrocuted Turkey:

Shocking!

The Albino Technicolor Dream Coat Turkey:

At least it's pretty. Which is more than I can say for...

The Vortex of Insanity!!! Turkey:

Someone, somewhere, actually thought this was a good idea. Let's take a moment to really let the impact of that sink in, shall we?

Some of you requested more non-cupcake-cake Turkey Wrecks, though. Nooo problem.

[rapid blinking]

Uh...How do you feel about cupcake Turkey Wrecks?

Turkey snails!
(Just one question: how do you pick them up?)

Rasta Turkey Snails!
(With...chicken heads? Ok. Sure. Why not?)

Ok, Ok, now for some "real" cakes:

Well, the *turkey* looks pretty good, but that green pterodactyls attacking him could use a little work.

And lastly, here's a foul fowl that could give the Coiled Crap Hound a run for its money:

Sweet Steaming Swirls of Stacked Shh...er...Sherbert!! Yeah.
That sorry sucker sure seems surprised.

Jen D., Jaime H., Jen L., Amanda S., Gloria C., Jen P., Bonnie L., & Elaine M., don't look at me like that; I'm sure there's chocolate sherbert
somewhere.

The Last Station     HD480p 36MB   HD720p 82MB
US trailer for the upcoming historical drama based on Jay Parini's 1990 novel that explores the turbulent final year in the life of the Russian writer and philosopher Leo Tolstoy (Christopher Plummer) and his troubled marriage (Helen Mirren). Paul Giamatti plays Tolstoy's trusted follower Chertkov, a supporter of the writer's non-violent socialist Christian movement who becomes Sofia's cunning adversary, James McAvoy a naive private secretary sent by Chertkov to work for Tolstoy. Anne-Marie Duff stars as Tolstoy's daughter Sasha, Kerry Condon is McAvoy's love interest.
Trailer looks good and praise from festivals for the movie is high, though it's hard to judge from the trailer if there's anything Oscar-worthy.

Greenberg     HD480p 44MB   HD720p 100MB
Comedic drama about a man's (Ben Stiller) life at the crossroads. When he ends up house-sitting at his brother's home in Los Angeles he strikes up an unlikely friendship with his brother's assistant (Greta Gerwig), an aspiring singer. Their encounters lead to an uncertain and wonderfully vulnerable courtship. Also part of the cast are Rhys Ifans, Mark Duplass, Juno Temple, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Chris Messina. Directed by Noah Baumbach (The Squid and the Whale, Margot at the Wedding) who also wrote the story together with his wife Jennifer Jason Leigh.
I think I'll be able to relate to at least parts of the story. And if this leads to mumblecore movies with a focus I'll like that too.

Wonderful World     30 MB    Online
Bittersweet comedy about a failed children's folk singer (Matthew Broderick) and an every-other-weekend dad to his young daughter (Jodelle Ferland), who prefers pretty much anything to listening to her dad's pessimistic ramblings. Struggling in all aspects of his life, his only comforts come from smoking marijuana alone and regular chess games with his smart and opinionated roommate Ibou (Michael Kenneth Williams). When Ibou is suddenly struck ill he pours his energy into a lawsuit against the city for depraved indifference. His life begins to turn around with the arrival of Ibou's beautiful and sexy sister (Sanaa Lathan) from Senegal.
Maybe a little too heavy on the sterotypical side but Broderick may make it worthwhile.

Season of the Witch     HD480p 45MB   HD720p 108MB
Supernatural thriller in which a 14th century Crusader (Nicolas Cage) who returns with his comrade (Ron Perlman) to a homeland devastated by the Black Plague. A beleaguered church, deeming sorcery the culprit of the plague, commands the two knights to transport an accused witch (Claire Foy) to a remote abbey, where monks will perform a ritual in hopes of ending the pestilence. Directed by Dominic Sena (Whiteout, Swordfish, Gone in Sixty Seconds). Stephen Graham, Ulrich Thomsen, Stephen Campbell Moore and Christopher Lee round up the cast.
Just as we thought Cage's output might be improving we suffer a setback.

Youth in Revolt     HD480p 100MB   HD720p 130MB
Another trailer, now with 100% more Steve Buscemi, for this coming-of-age romantic, comedic drama that tells the tale of an insecure teenager (Michael Cera) and his quest to win the heart of a girl and hopefully lose his virginity along the way. In order to do so he creates a much bolder and self-assured version of himself. Based on the novel by C.D. Payne. Also part of the cast are Ray Liotta, Justin Long, Fred Willard and Zach Galifianakis.

Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief     HD480p 50MB   HD720p 124MB
As perviously "threatened", hi-def versions of the recently posted trailer for the fantasy adventure.

Still alive. Life is very busy at the moment with hard decisions to be made, and jobs applied for. Have a meme, that seems fun, gaaked from [info]littleblueghost, that I've also chucked up on FB :)

Using only FOUR words, tell me what you would say to me if we woke up in jail together.

I love a good story. Half-Life 2 is an amazing video game because that's what it does - it tells a good story. I play many video games, but my favorites are the ones with depth. Half-Life 2 is my favorite video game of all time, but I rarely have mentioned why. So, for my first [info]picspammy challenge ever, I am presenting the reasons why I love Half-Life 2..

Disclaimer All characters and the universe they inhabit are the property of Dru Pagliassotti. I’m just once again indulging my tendency to fall in love with minor characters. The lines in the cut text are from the Nickelback song Come For You.

( I was blindfolded, but now I'm seeing. My mind was closing, now I'm believing. I finally know just what it means to let some one in to see the side of me that no one does or ever will. So if you're ever lost and find yourself all alone, I'd search forever just to bring you home. Here and now, it's a vow. )

A Belgian newspaper visited the DH set as well this month, and got to talk to the cast about the movies and all that. They released new big photos of Tom Felton and Bonnie Wright, and the first brilliant group shot (including Dan, Rupert, James & Oliver, Jessie, and Dave Legeno) from the press junkets. They can all be seen here.
