So I can't even begin to talk about the epic failure that was Gossip Girl. Like, seriously, WTF was that. This pretty much encapsulates my feelings on the whole thing.

Anyway, I drabbled a little something in regards to the finale (I've been writing three sentence ficlets over on tumblr so it's in the same format). It's really not too spoilery but its behind the cut just in case.

It is their blessing and their curse. This job brought them together but it's also what tore them apart.
Authors Notes: Not as depressing as the summary makes it sound, I promise. :O)

( Because Mike told him, he tapped out, but Harvey is a selfish bastard and he wants it all even after Mike has told him that he can't have it. But the absence only makes Harvey's resolve stronger. It reinforces what he already knew but didn’t want to acknowledge. He gave up too quickly, and he never gives up on anything but somehow chose a hell of a time to start. But he can't do this anymore. He can't pretend. He needs to fight. )

But he hasn't set foot in this building in seven months, swore he never would again after the last time he walked out. In a slight daze he enters the building. He stops by security and gets a visitor's pass and when the guard points him in the direction of the elevators Mike says, "Thanks, I know my way." [sequel to 7,776,000]
Authors Notes: I was genuinely surprised and overwhelmed by the amount of love 7,776,000 received. It was written as a one-shot, but I had so many people ask for a sequel, and the Muse decided to come to the party so here we are. Having said that, this probably isn't what you expected, but I hope you enjoy it nonetheless.

( It still feels like a dream. It's been four months and they still fit together so easily away from Pearson Hardman, like they were always meant to circle each other, be in the same space and breathe the same air. It feels like everything, his whole life, was leading up to this, and it's the reason Mike now believes in fate. )

He has moved the couch so that it now faces the floor to ceiling windows and Mike silently sits beside Harvey, joins him in looking down at the chaos engulfing the city below. [Apocalypse AU]
Authors Notes: I don’t even know where this came from you guys. Given the nature of the fic there are some depictions of violence but it's nothing too explicit.

( In the beginning it was more about surviving together, safety in numbers, a stubborn refusal to abandon each other because they didn't want to completely surrender to this bold new world. But now, everything felt so natural and easy between them, and Mike can barely remember what it was like before - when he would live alone and see Harvey only in three piece suits and they would work and argue and banter. But more than anything, it was the thought that he liked this, that he enjoyed being with Harvey all day, that he preferred him in jeans and t-shirts, with loose and unslicked hair, his hands preparing food rather than million dollar contracts. And it's not that he likes the world they live in now. Who would? He sleeps with a gun beside his bed and there is no power or hot water and everyone that remains is desperate and lost. But the one upside, the only good thing to come out of this, is Harvey and the life they have somehow managed to create for themselves. )

I blame veritas_st for making me think I could write something so PWPy so depending on how you feel about the fic you can thank/blame her for this. :O) Apologies for the lame title LOL.

( Mike knew enough about Harvey to know one night stands were the only type of personal relationships he had but being confronted with the reality of it was something else entirely. And with a shock Mike realised he was about to become one of them. Only they would have to get up tomorrow and work together and maybe this wasn't such a good idea... )

This fic is a bit different from the previous ones in that they were single snapshots but this is a whole bunch of different stories in one. Given this fic is almost as long as the previous five combined sufficed to say I am 99% sure this will be the last Exclusively Yours fic.
Dedicated to everyone who told me they wanted more for this verse. Your support and comments were amazing. I love everyone in this law firm. :O)

( It all comes flooding back to Mike now; dinner the previous night, lingering over dessert, a nightcap at Harvey's apartment, the tentativeness of Harvey's hands as they kissed, Mike pushing him towards the bedroom as Harvey grinned against his lips. He stares at the ceiling, his heart beating hard in his chest as reality sinks in. He doesn’t know what to do now. Go back to sleep? Quietly slip out of the apartment before Harvey wakes up? Does he tell Harvey how much he wants this, or does he pretend like the whole thing never happened? )

So, 7,776,000 has received over 100 kudos at AO3.

That might not sound like a lot to some people but it's massive for me. The only other fic to come close was love will come through (which is the only other of my fics to break the 50 mark - it's currently sitting at 61). And it's funny, because out of all the Suits fics I've written, 7,776,000 was the one I had the hardest time with. I know it might not seem like it, given the relatively simple nature of the plot. But when I first wrote it the fic actually ended with them going back into Mike's apartment (so it was essentially a third of the fic it is now). I knew it didn't really feel like a proper ending, but I didn't know where else to go with it. So I did something I practically never do: I stopped writing it, for probably over a week. Normally I write my first draft fairly constantly, at least every day, even if it's just a sentence or two. And I thought because of that that it somehow felt lesser than my other fics. So for it to be embraced so much by everyone is really heartwarming.

And it's given me a good push for the next fic I am working on, which is an AU (and here I thought What Dreams May Come would be the only AU I would ever write) and it's completely ridiculous and it's something like 9000 words of complete insanity and I love writing this fandom but I think I will always feel like I'm not good enough for it. IDEK you guys. Sorry for rambling, I've had a weird day LOL.

So, for those who are interested, my Sydney trip was awesome. Three days of complete fun and being a tourist which was fabulous. The HP Exhibition was really interesting and I also so a Picasso exhibition while I was there which was great. Does anyone wanna see pics? Anyway, just wanted to let you know that this Sunday I am flying up to Sydney for a few days. First holiday in four years woohoo!! Am going to check out the Harry Potter exhibition and do the touristy thing for a few days which will be fun. :O) So yeah, I wont be around much next week.

I have my latest Suits fic with my beta (because I figured it was finally time to get one), am about 95% there with the new EY fic and have started another one (*glares at veritas_st*). So hopefully you will see new fic from me next week.

In the mean time, because I'm bored at work (story of my life) leave me a pairing and a lyric prompt and I'll try a little drabble for you. :O)

So this new Sherlock Holmes series that CBS is doing that I know nothing about has cast Jonny Lee Miller as Holmes. I'm abslutely certain all the BBC Sherlock fans are up in arms about this series, and fair enough, but I'm afraid I'm going to have to watch it now JLM is involved. I've missed his face on my TV.

I swear my computer knows exactly when I want to download something urgently coz that's always when it goes the slowest. It doesnt download that quickly to begin with (1-2 hours for a 350mb file) but last night it was going at about 4 times slower than normal. Which means I havent watched Gossip Girl or Luck or Hawaii 5-0 or Once Upon a Time, and are therefore avoiding tumblr like the plague for fear of being spoiled.

This also means I am ridiculously bored here at work. So, to alleviate, some memes I have seen floating around my flist.
